Dan Nelson, CSEP, CMP

Dan is the producer and driving force behind Dan Nelson Productions, a Las Vegas based meetings, entertainment and special events company since July of 1987. He is the founding president of the Las Vegas Chapter of ISES, the International Special Events Society, and holds their industry certification the Certified Special Events Professional. Dan is also a CMP (Certified Meetings Professional).

Dan has designed hundreds of events, written scripts for trade show booth and stage presentations, composed over 100 songs, produced and starred in a video for MTV, written a television treatment for Paramount Studios, and produced entertainment for every major strip hotel in Las Vegas. For nine years he produced all special event shows for The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.

Kathy Nelson, MS, CSEP, CMP

Kathy Nelson specializes in teaching entertainment and special events courses. She holds both Bachelor and Master's degrees in Hotel Administration from UNLV and is currently a professor in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV.

As co-owner of Dan Nelson Productions, she has over 25 years of business ownership in the entertainment and special events industry. DNP is well known for innovative and creative ideas and their client list reads like a Who's Who in the corporate and entertainment world.

She is a founding member of the Las Vegas Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) and a past president. Kathy was the first Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) in the State of Nevada.
